What would you say if your words were changed and your posts modified by magic?
I can be harsh, rude or whatever, but I always quoted the posts word by word, nrever changed them.
Iván |
Ivan I only quoted what God said.. are you denying his wisdom or the truthfulness of his words?!

You're basically saying that DT went to heaven, ergo, they are favored by God, ergo, they're great since he definitely knows more than you!
I always though Bach and Handel would be the soundtrack of heaven, but it doesn't seem improbable to me that God is blasting away to some good old death metal, too...

I already explained what happened - when you claim "no reply" it's because you're ignoring my explanation.

Yes Mike, but this doesn't answer the question...
Why did you support your position with a post that rejected your position?
BTW: Ir wasn't as simple as turning the page, it took me 1/2 hour to find the quote that was back in page 121, because there are like 10 posts per page and we are in page 140 or 139 in that moment.
Your excuses show that you lie.

And your responses show that you're stupid - or you pretend to be. It's also interesting that you can't drop this accusation, even when Dean steps in, examines my post and finds the artifacts of the quote div. Then Trademark chimes in, never bothering to look at my post, or at Dean's post. What a pathetic club of ignorants.

You said that it is the center of our beliefWhich was my point - it's not really different from you saying it yourself. Edit: Of course in that last sentence you were focussing on the instantaneous creation of the soul. But not only does that fly in the face of all we know of how evolution works, the way you phrased the sentence suggests that you endorsed the whole quote, and especially all the highlighted bits - if you endorsed only the instantaneous creation, why would you also highlight the part about Adam & Eve. Besides - like I said in the previous sentence, it doesn't really matter if it's one couple, a hundred or a thousand ... if you say that at one point God snapped his finger and some humans suddenly had souls, it's not compatible with Evolution any way you look at it. I'll gladly give examples if anyone is interested.

Mike, why do you lie again?
I said:

YOU LIE AGAIN, and call me stupid (without nobody doing anything) yto hide how you were caught in a lie.
Iván
Please answer the question,
WHY DID YOU QUOTE ME QUOTING ANOTHER PERSON AND AFFIRM I SAY IT?
HOW DID A POST OF MYSELF QUOTING ANOTHER SOURCE CHANGES BY MAGIC TOI SUPPORT YOUR CLAIM?
You lie and still don't answer.

See my edited post, which I edited while you were writing your reply - I knew exactly how you would respond. Why are you so quick to use the word "LIE"? When you call me a liar for making a mistake, I'll call you stupid any time.

Can we calm it down, please?
Might I suggest that those that can't stand the heat, tiptoe quietly away from the fire?

I just wished that people would be able - also considering Dean's explanation - to acknowledge that I admitted the mistake I made ... they could take back the word "liar", I could take back the "idiot", and we could move on.

Incidentally, a lot of what you do is kind of pointless, but since it is obvious that you did this you'll have to answer the "why" question yourself. |
and a lot of what you do is provocative to say the least. For the most part I like the cut of your jib but why act like a troll when you've many good things to add to a debate?

I find it odd that some people answer a perceived insult with an insult then expect some poor sod to intervene on their behalf. Iván, Mike, someone ought to bang your heads together. Make someone a nice log cabin...

Probably you didn't noticed that it was illogic for Mike to support his position with a quote that rejected his position, the quote codes "may" have vanished, but he read the original post when it's evident that I was quoting another source...And still used that same post to claim that I said it...Isn't this illogic?

Okay
1. I proved logically that the quote-code is still there but the dhtml formatting is not showing the border around the quote for some reason - the border is still there but it is zero-width or the same colour as the background. If you look closely at the text it is slightly indented from the rest of the paragraph. That is proof that Mike did not alter the text on purpose, to discredit you or to make you look bad. My position on this does not defy logic (or common sense or reason) - nor is it a reflection of any bias towards athiests, (or software programmers, or metal fans, or europeans, or people who look like Simpson's characters).
2. To me, when you quote a piece of text written by someone to support your belief then you must logically support that quoted text - so even if now it possibly looks as if you wrote it (which, by the way, it does not - it still looks like a quote - and even if it did not, it is not written in your style of writing so has to be a quote), it must be something you believe or you would not have quoted it in the first place.

^ I'll gladly edit my post to put the quote back in - but only when the issue is settled, because it would seem like I was trying to hide something. BTW: Yes, someone with a masters degree in computational engineering can spot something like that ... just not when he's quickly posting something and then heading out to catch the bus.

Mike, you sound as a politic and keep lying:
You said:
Mr ProgFreak wrote:
^ And even moderate Catholics like Iván - a few pages ago he talked about a literal couple of humans referred to as Adam & Eve, from whom we all descend and into whom God somehow "injected" souls. To him I also say: I think you're wrong, and I have scientific evidence on my side.
|
Then you quote of another person and put my name on it.
And to safe yourself you start talking a lot of nonsenses that have no relation with the isue.
Please Mike answer: - Why did you posted a quote where I din't say something, claiming I said it?
- How did the quote codes vanished (by art of magic) to make the quote look as if it was mine?
- Now you make a lonh justification that has no relation with the issue, you claim that even I believe that Adanm & Eve where real characters, you quote a post where I don't say something to sup´port I said it.
Answer the questions and don't evade

^ I'll give you that in this post I wrongly attributed the quote to you ... that's why I went back in the thread this morning and looked for what you actually said. Now if you're going to continue to refuse to listen to Dean even, there's nothing else I can do. Sane people will understand. Edit: And reasonable people, too, of course.

Exactly - I've been programming in html and dhtml for 15+ years and it took about 3 seconds to spot the problem when I went looking for it.

You also give that is very curious (to say the less) that the post changed in order to support your claim?
Please Mike, I'm not a stupid, you won't quote something I didn't said, to support your claim that I said it
But is more unbelievable that the original post changed suddenly to support your claim.
That's absurd.
