This case http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1024610/amanda_hamm_released_from_prison.html?cat=49 was actually in my home town. The 6 year old was in one of my mother's classes. Disapprove  The mother had been a student of my father's long ago. Don't mess with meth.

You can thank Nancy Grace and HLN for all the hype given to this case.

^ Yes you can.  Although Nancy was one of the few national voices that kept my nieces story alive when no one else would.  As for Casey there wasn't enough evidence to convict her and the jury did the right thing.  Does that mean she is innocent?  Guess we will never know.  The amazing thing to me is not having that closure.  I know in Amber's case if the person hadn't admitted it they found no evidence to tie it to him.  He used it as a bargaining chip so he did not get the death penalty for raping and killing Chelsea King.  So while in principal the death penalty maybe abhorrent in our case it was the single tool that gave us the answers we so desperately were seeking.

Charming guy. Somehow I can understand why Raff is not a fan.

I say nothing is nothing

Daily Mirror says NOTW hacked phones of victims of 9/11.  No wonder Murdoch was in hurry to leave States.

Certainly flipping a finger is not the best thing to do, ever, specially with the crazy people in the streets, but the daughter is certainly a pure-100% bitch. The guy already has damage and bills he will never pay thanks to the amazing US healthcare system, and now the girl too?

Any judge that awards this brat anything deserves a swift kick in the ass.  Awarding her would set a dangerous precedent that basically amounts to, "That guy provoked his own shooting because he gave me the finger!"

Quote
Kaitlyn's suit doesn't name his shooter, Christian Squilliacotti

Quote

The suit does name his wife and passenger, Chastity Squillaciotti. as a defendant, climing that she bears some responsibility because she knew about her husband's mental health issues, but neglected to prevent him getting behind the wheel while aggravated.

Quote
Culleton said the family hasn't ruled out a law suit against whoever was responsible for granting Squillaciotti's permit

What a twit.  Sue everybody except the one person responsible for your psychological problems.

Also, spell check fail ABC.  climing...

And damn, the article says she is suing her father to get his insurance company to payout to support her psychological treatment.

Now wait, let's back up:

Quote
[Squilliacotti's] insurance would actually not apply because the shooting was intentional

Quote
While Timko, as both victim of an out of control road rage incident, and Kaitlyn's father, might seem like an unlikely defendant because he has no assets, this suit, like the Harrisons', will target his insurance on the basis of negligent driving.

Her psychological problems stem from the trauma of gunshots and loud noises.  If the other guy's insurance won't cover you because his shooting is intention, why would the victim's insurance cover you for someone else shooting at the car?  Oh...I see...on the basis of "negligent driving."  Ermm

God I need a drink after reading that...

Exploding heads are cool. Just look at the movies 'Scanners' and 'Dawn of the Dead' for proof.

Makes you think twice about giving a stranger the finger on the road, even if they're driving like a moron.
