I actually see it as the most fitting genre for them, but I really care not to start a debate. And no one else wants it either.
IF THEY DO WELL TOOOOOOO BAD Stern Smile

Out of convenience, I would probably throw them in post metal too. LOL

Why must you tempt me to even talk about it Matthias? fffuuuuuuu
They have more post qualities than anything else....but also have a good black metal influence.

Sooooooooo I hear u gaiz leik magma?
It's just lava that hasn't escaped the earth yet? What's the big hoopla?

I would argue that Zeuhl is a pretty definable (albeit exclusive) genre. Stern Smile

But whats so entertaining? Even if magma does escape the crust (which is pretty cool I'll admit) it's explosive and will probably kill you. Not to mention destroy your home town.

And Agalloch's debut EP is f**kin brilliant. Their most black metal days but with with actual musical talent, songwriting skills, some prog and folk elements. YESSSS

The only easily discernible genre here is brutal prog death metal.

95% of black metal = sh*t
This however is pure gold

The other BM that is not sh*t is Negura Bunget, Drudkh, Vintersorg, Early Ulver and a little bit of Burzum

I will make an album that makes Obscura sound like Scenes From a Memory in comparison.

Brian, you have to capture the magic of raw unadulterated rustic pure kvlt true norwegian black metal. Actually, the first albums by Darkthrone and all by Gorgoroth and many Emperor and Immortal and Enslaved are amazing no matter what you say...

I get it, but it aint my cup o tea. And I have tried. You should know I give due diligence to mah music.
We've had BM debates before in the SR, not going there again. It's just not my thing k q.m.

The only traditional BM albums I like are De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas (sp?)- Mayhem  Hvis lyset tar oss- Burzum and kind of sorta...Transilvanian Hunger

do it

I am already working on it, I'm going to breed a new type of pig to do the vocals though, I might have to crossbreed it with a grizzly or somethin.

deff, pig is not gruesome enough. A pig/rabid dog  or pig/bear/dying baby combo would be uber br00talz though

also if I make a post metal album, I am legit going to title a song "bear is here"
