Soft or hard? I have no idea. It's also hard for me to explain the pronounciation, because in Finnish the alphabet are pronounced in a different way than in English.

It's exactly like that, Finnish being a phonetic language like Italian (perhaps even easier than that). All vowels are voiced, so Kone (=machine) is pronounced just like that: ko-ne (not kon or koun). As to the höyry part (=steam), the ö is pronounced as the same vowel in German, and the y like the French u. Sorry, Vompatti, for stealing the limelight... You can retaliate by explaining how Italian is pronounced next time!

^Well I guess it's pronounced almost in the same way as Finnish, because it's also a phonetic language.

That's exactly what I told him, but doesn't "kone" work for engine as well? I thought Steam Engine would be more likely than Steam Machine.

^For engine we usually use the word "moottori", but kone can be used as well.

I should think Engine and Machine are both interchangable, but in this case, I prefer Machine. Steam Machine rolls off the tongue better.

I've been trying for days to post a really dishy picture of Eddie Jobson for the (probably very few) ladies who might still frequent this thread, but there were technical problems, so I gave up. I'll try again, though... So much beauty should be displayed!

The female vocalists for IZZ are both attractive. Sadly, I couldn't find any better pictures

Over land and under ashes
In the sunlight, see - it flashes
Find a fly and eat his eye
But don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
Don't believe in me
