Same here.

^ Ultimately I can't decide.

My first thought was Our House from Madness.  :)  I've heard the above posted songs before, but can't place any of them at the moment.  I'll have to give them a listen and get back to you.

Sounds good, 'twas also one of the ones that immediately came to my mind. While it's in my OP, I was thinking about including it in the poll, but then I decided to limit it to four options. I actually love that song, and have done since I first heard it on the radio when it was still quite new. I came up with my own version called "Outhouse".

Logan! How could you forget the "Our House" from Crosby, Stills, and Nash? Anywho, it's 'Glass House from GG.

I'm sure I did think think, but then promptly forgot. I love CSN plus CSN&Y. As I recall, it got muddled up in my head with Madness' "Our House" so I failed to mention it (both songs playing in my head at the time like a mash, which happens to me more than I would like).

Listening now on youtube, that's great and would have fit this poll beautifully. I'm glad you mentioned it.

would have gotten my vote Greg..  (btw that is a great album if you haven't heard it in full)

voting for the GG song since it wasn't.

This is weird for me, because I know I knew of Audience, but I honestly can't say if I've heard the album in full or not. Probably I've only listened to some tracks. Sounds excellent and it doesn't get a lot of attention in the forums, I guess.

A few more "houses":

Talking Heads - Houses in Motion
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy

I might have thought of Houses of the Holy -- I know I have one "Houses" in my opening post, but I wouldn't have though of that without looking at my iPod song search as for some reason when I think of a word the plural does not spring to mind so readily (I only put a few minutes of thought into it). Now I have to guess what you would have voted for if you could (guess only one of you could vote) or at least your choice -- was it House With No Door? or "The House, the Street, The Room", probably you agreed with your other "half". Or perhaps I'm wrong on all those counts. I like to predict how people would vote and who will enter the polls and what will they say (if I were better at it, then I'd also remember to include other options).

Nice cover and I hadn't heard that GG performance -- thanks for sharing.

;)

btw...what an amazing album from a band that never really got all the credit they deserved.

I "Love" that, hadn't heard that in years -- that's an album I've enjoyed quite a lot.

Yes Audience is a great band and House on the Hill was the first I thought of not in the polls. The second was Paperhouse by Can. Two songs I love. Voted House With No Door btw....

Also The Little House I Used to Live In is a Zappa-favorite

Paperhouse (darn), that would have made my list had I remembered it. I even used my iPod to do a House search term (not that I needed it for the poll choices) and Tago Mago is on it (the search on it doesn't like such combination words). I know I'm always forgetting something really important to me that I think would complement a list (not just because it has the word house, but because I think it work well musically on a playlist with the other choices).

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

It's the first VdGG songs that I fell for and acquired (before getting any of the albums). It's such a moving, beautiful and plaintive song to my ears (Bowie is another whose music can touch me in a quite similar way, I say as Hunky Dory plays in the background - "Quicksand" on now).

I've always loved the second GG entrant here.
