GENTLE GIANT all the way.
In A Glass House is a top 3 prog rock album for me.

All these are excellent choices. I gave to all these albums 5 stars. But, I go to Gentle Giant because their albums are more original and advenurous.

Agreed. It had to grow on me. Goose and Moon had me right off the bat. Admittedly, GG's albums took me a bit to warm up to as well. BUT, turns out those three albums are some of my favorite of all time, so I'll have to give it to my multi-instrumentalist heroes. (Octopus is the one I listened to first, and that one and Power were the ones that I kind of liked right off the bat. The rest had to simmer a bit. Power is my favorite of theirs, desert island pick.)

For Gentle Giant to have a chance with me in this poll, it would have had to be the first 3 albums.

Gentle Giant by a light year and couple parsecs. Camel is boring.

I have no problem with Mirage. I think it's one of the great prog albums of the 1970's. The other two are great as well. The first two GG albums are equally great also. The weak one is Power & the Glory, still a good album but not in the same class as Snowgoose or Moonmadness. So It's Camel for me but it's only a marginal difference.

I never understood all the fuss about "Mirage"; it is a bit bland to me. Since the other albums are all very good the vote goes to Gentle Giant.

I'm not that familiar with a couple of these so I won't be voting.

Camel, but all of these are some of my favorite albums ever and all albums I rate 5 stars. Camel is just far and away my favorite band ever with Gentle Giant in a comfortable 4th place i'd say behind Opeth and Kansas. Id rank them like this:
1: Moonmadness (My favorite album ever) 2: In A Glass House (another top 5 album for me) 3: The Snow Goose 4: Octopus (This and snow goose are very close) 5: Mirage 6: The Power and the Glory

One hump or two, it's gotta be Camel for me. I would only ever vote for Gentle Giant in a moment of Moonmadness.
