RIP Gordon Haskell

RIP! Saw the news on Facebook of all places (Prog United group I think) yesterday evening. I love Lizard, and from what I understand he was never happy with his work nor time in KC. Thank you for your art and rest in peace!

I first remember the man who laughed at the line ending Indoor Games with "hey ho". He's a better known musician than I'd expected. It's been very long since I've listened to music like what's on his solo albums (I'm discovering them !), to the extent it brings a kind of enjoyment of "exotic" order

I think he meant the last one to pass away. (hopefully.)

yeah 4 vocalists in the 1970s and they are all deceased now.  Boz was the first to pass (2006), then Lake (2016) then Wetton (2017)  now Haskell (2020)

Yes, Gordon was a bit of a star in Poland and his later albums sold the best there. He also had a great appreciation for the people, not only for being great fans, but he found the Poles to be incredibly nice, warm hearted people and their young musicians to be totally enthusiastic about playing with him and appreciating his music. It was one of the bright spots in his long up and down music career. The only way to see what KC would have sounded like if Gordon was allowed to contribute songwriting is to listen to the songs on his album "It Is And It Isn't" and try to imagine Fripp and co. doing that music.

I've been playing Lizard today after not hearing it for a long time. It's still an album that totally amazes me.
