Well if you own only that and that's your purest impression, you're pretty much a...don't gasp...Genesis fan. (fan = you appreciate Genesis pretty well)
(though an almost Collins Genesis fan )

foxtrot nursery cryme selling england (the genesis live album I haven't bought yet but I'm sure is better than lamb) lamb being kicked in the ear all other genesis studio albums
Unapologetic about this harsh rating. I don't waste my time with subpar material from excellent bands. Of course, those three albums are glorious and I'll never tire of them.

Ivan, if you check my SEbtP review, you'll see I call it a 'flawed masterpiece'. I know very well it's far from perfect, but - unlike the probably superior "Foxtrot" - it really does something for me, and has been for years one of my favourite prog albums. Strange indeed, as I've never really been a fan of the band - especially not in the Italian sense, since here there are people who literally worship Genesis and all its members.

I think SEBTP has only one flaw- More Fool Me. It's not even THAT bad either, but it's weak compared to the rest. I love the rest- yes, even The Battle Of Epping Forest. Before I came here I had no idea it wasn't too popular, and I loved it as much as most anything else there. Tony Banks incidentally considers 'After The Ordeal' to be the worst thing they ever recorded. I could think of at least 10 worse songs, and I love After The Ordeal too- gorgeous music on that.

1. Foxtrot - best album ever 2. Nursery Cryme 3. Lamb 4. Selling England 5. Duke - a new sound!
6. Trick of the Tail - more accessible than the Gabriel albums, yet the same style 7. Trespass - severly underated
8. Genesis 9. Three Sides Live - the studio cuts here warrant its inclusion though live albums were not listed 10. Wind And Wuthering - "One for the Vine" is one of my favorite songs
11. And Then There Were Three 12. Abacab
13. Invisible Touch 14. We Can't Dance

severly underrated, but it's number 7, last from the Genesis classics to you as well.
even Duke's better!
that's pretty much the level of "underrated".
