Hello darqdean!
If you want to buy Phideaux' albums, you can find them on Internet: CD Baby (USA), Cosmos Music, Shop 33, Progpulsion (France), Just For Kicks Music (Germany), Progress Records (Scandinavia), ...
You see that you have the choice! Wink

Phideaux Xavier:
"That's it for now. I'm back in L.A. and strategizing our next move. The first thing we are going to do is prepare a single for release with "Tempest Of Mutiny" and a few other unreleased goodies. I'll keep you posted."

PhideauxFan, I listened to Doomsday last week and I found them good, but not that excellent........ I'm not a 100% proghead; according to this, which album should I listen to next?
The best you can is good enough...

Hello sircosick!  Smile
Well, IMO, Doomsday Afternoon and Chupacabras are the most progressive albums of Phideaux.
If you like neo folk and gothic music (Paul Roland, The Cure), you can listen to Ghost Story.
And if you want some psychedelic and pop music mixed with prog and folk, try 313 or Fiendish.
Finally, it is very hard to recommend an album of Phideaux in particular because each one has its own qualities or defaults.
Just go to the CD Baby site, and make your choice!  Wink

I'm interested in hearing the 'Friction' album listed under him in the archives (completionist that I am), but I can't find it anywhere. Can someone provide me with some info about this one?

^ I read somewhere that Friction is a collection of outtakes that Phideaux Xavier made at the beggining of his career. It should be extremely rare and hard to find, anyway.

Hi!
Friction is completely out of stock. And I read that Phideaux Xavier was not very proud of it.

I wasn't able to find any tour information on his web site or myspace page.  Anyone know if he plans to come to Atlanta any time soon?
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Can someone describe to me what to expect from this? I like the artwork (this week's most popular album I noticed on the front page)
Interested in my reviews?

Phideaux is very expensive in Japan (2700 yen - Disk Union). AngryAngryAngryAngry Also they are not popular ... Even HMV doesn't sell any albums. If I buy any of them, I must order for Syn-Phonic. Smile
Of course, I don't own any albums. EmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassedEmbarrassed

Hi!

The artwork of the covers of The Great Leap and Doomsday Afternoon are inspired by Salvador Dali:
http://www.salvador-dali.org/cat1104-2/CATIMA/0236.jpg .

I think that many people who like Pink Floyd, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Renaissance, David Bowie, Ayreon, Matthew Parmenter  will enjoy  listening to  Doomsday Afternoon:

Tell me about The Great Leap. I read a review in spanish 'bout it and it seems interesting enough. But also you can add some info related to the style developed on the album mentioned, since you've demonstrated a wide knowledge about the band and their musical direction....

....and since you just forgot naming it on your post I've quoted LOLWink

Hi!
For The Great Leap, which is the first part of the story continued with Doomsday Afternoon, just imagine that David Bowie and Alice Cooper had decided to play art-rock influenced by Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull and 70s soft hard-rock.

Phideaux Xavier will sing on the new Ayreon album!

Arjen Lucassen:
"Singer 11 is my good friend and space brother Phideaux Xavier. Please check out his new album Doomsday Afternoon, it's a prog masterpiece. Or my personal favourite Ghost Story...or 313...or...hey, I love them all! Phideaux recorded his vocals in the US."
