I currently feel like listing these:

Calvary - Outnumbered is Outflanked
Helmet - Meantime
Popsicle - Popsicle
The Chameleons - Script of the Bridge
Tool - Ænima
Ordination of Aaron - Completed Works
Kayo Dot - Choirs of the Eye
My Bloody Valentine - Ecstasy and Wine
Dinosaur Jr. - Bug
Three - Dark Days Coming

This list will change any minute. The Three in the list is not the New Prog band, but an old Post-Hardcore band who released a very good album in 1987.

Even though they're one of my favorite bands, I don't even think MCR is really that great.  A ton of people hate them and I can see why.  However, I really think The Black Parade was a great emulation of everything I liked about rock in the 70s.... over the top, bombastic, artsy.... and having loved that era so much (note Queen II, A Night at the Opera, and The Wall all in my top 10) I don't care if it's an emulation (if your gonna emulate something, emulate the best I guess) and despite being only competent musicians, they are excellent writers.  I was literally shocked when I heard that album, I didn't think that MCR could put out something like Black Parade, it never lets up and I really think it's a classic album.

I haven't listened to it in its entirety, but I have read some good reviews of it. Might give it a thorough listen some time. Smile

hahhaha..no.... just learned there is more to PM...than..... they who hath no name. LOL

seriously though.... I love that album.. from the first listen... and is the only  non-RPI album that sits presently in the CD changer.  Far and away the best PM album I've heard.. though I have so much still to hear.  I listened to Agalloch's 'The Mantle' last night... and that album 'grabbed' me.  Putting that on again.. as a matter of fact.

I'm not too sure about the placement of the last four, but I'll try anyway:

1. Thirteenth Step - A Perfect Circle
2. In Absentia - Porcupine Tree
3. Mer De Noms - A Perfect Circle
4. The Sky Moves Sideways - Porcupine Tree
5. Second Life Syndrome - Riverside
6. Everyone into Position - Oceansize
7. Out of Myself - Riverside
8. Fantastic Planet - Failure
9. El Cielo - dredg

Well... I got nine, I'm really uncertain about a tenth.
