Kate Bush. This poll lacks her. This poll has failed.

But that would be cheating since she's married to Terry Bozzio and he was a member. LOL  Funny enough, I should be familiar with the Missing Persons, but I'm not.  I can remember them being on MTV but I'll be darned if I can conjure up anything they did from the dark recesses of my brain.

See explanation on previous page.  And yes, she would probably be a runaway victor on this site, hence the exclusion of prog artists.

I'm going with "You Decide" for Laurie Anderson.
I'm not familiar with the Divynls or Laurie Anderson, but I do remember there was much discussion regarding Laurie Anderson and PA awhile back.

Yep, I was involved in those Laurie Anderson discussions,  Lots of good choices here, anyway.  The Divynls had a big hit with "I Touch Myself" but I'd stopped listening to them before then.  Laurie Anderson had a  surprise hit with "O Superman".

I'd be kind of surprised if you've never heard this track:

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I observed before. It can be much like that with music for me; immersed in experiencing the moment.

Kate Bush isn't prog.

If you count screwing Dave Gilmour "prog-related" then maybe she's that...

Was she the woman who was also a female wrestler/actress?

I bet she did mud and oil wrestling.  You may be thinking of Cyndi Lauper.

Speak for yourself.  Depending on the definition you choose of course.  But the Dreaming and side two of Hounds are far more progressive and "out there" than anything Gilmour has done in decades.  Wink
...that moment you realize you like "Mob Rules" better than "Heaven and Hell"

Kim Deal of Breeders,
their album Pod although short, is an essential masterpiece of the alternative scene.

if prog I'd have to say Dagmar Krause, she is something else!

Tough choice for me between The Bangles and Blondie... finally went for the former.

And yes I remember Wendy O Williams & the Plasmatics... didn't they have an outrageous stage act which involved destroying cars with chainsaws / explosives?

I decide: Zed Yago from Germany with the astonishing female vocalist Jutta Winhold. Is just one of the many I like,  and from the list the girl from Eurythmics and Blodie
