According to PF I only have 4 albums in the category. 2 of these I have only given a scarce listen.

1. ITCOCK - King Crimson
2. Abbey Road - The Beatles
3. Piper at the Gates of Dawn - Pink Floyd
4. Yes - Yes

By the way, these top three are going to slaughter this list, along with Revolver. Maybe I can give a critical listen to 36 albums over the course of this month and get an actual list in though. LOL

I'm not going to be able to come up with a meaningful list of more than 40. There are probably 20-25 that I've heard and could give a proper opinion. Then there's loads that I've heard of, but only kinda know from an odd track or from reputation...

So, unless the rules change, I'm not going to be able to participate. Is there a reason why it is set as high as 40 for a minimum?

Either way, the results will be interesting, and I'm sure I'll discover a few gems for my 'get soon' list Clap

I didn't know it didn't need to be bands on this site! I'll edit my list soon. Not citing Bob Dylan and Velvet Underground would be a crime.

Maybe we can drop the minimum for the 60s. I'll get back to you.

I have agreed to a drop in the minimum for the sixties. You're all encouraged to make the list as long or as short as you like within the parameters.

I'll get to work on a list. Dean has come up with a great starting list above, so I'll have a hunt through that and my own dusty vinyl collection....

I know this list doesn't count, but I'm bored..... However I'm surprsied the grandiose debut from Crosby, Stills & Nash hasn't made a list, yet...

Because of the rule change for this decade, I will count this, but Zeppelin III is from 1970. Would you like to replace it or shall I just take it out of the list and move #22-28 up one?

^Great, thanks!

Only problem: Jethro Tull's Benefit dropped in 1970. Also, Deep Purple's In Rock is a 70s album. Would you like to replace them, or remove them and move the other albums up a rank?

^Thanks! Only problem I see is that Time and a Word is from 1970. We can just remove that one from the list and shift everything up 1, or you can add a new title.

I'm going to have to do some more listening before compiling my list, there's so much 60s stuff in my shelf that I've only listened to once or twice so far. Buffalo Springfield, The Byrds, Giles Giles & Fripp, The Moody Blues, Grateful Dead...
