I think you should have included Baba Yagas hut on the Tarkus landscape and maybe some other images from Pictures and maybe Manticore from Tarkus.
Otherwise its pretty good.
Do I see the Hot Seat locomotive by the carousel?

My opinion is this is undoubtedly one of your best.
Inspirational and has gone straight to my wallpaper and looks amazing. I like the way you have a section for each member and this is a very tasteful collage, not over cluttered but spacious and easy on the eyes. Tarkus destroying Love Beach is genius! The huge Brain Salad Girl is tasteful too without the phallus, or is it hidden there? LOL. I think it looks amazing as it comes out of the clouds like a great Goddess of Prog!
I love the Black Moon merry go round in the distance and the rainbow path and the shining light of the logo. Trilogy profiles work in well and especially the dove flying into the blue sky. In a lot of ways it represents the music, freedom, innovation and outside the box. The water dripping down the edge sets off the atmosphere beautifully. it is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. The depth and dimension of the artwork is astonishing. The illusion made real by a sense of an horizon and distance especially the way the rainbow comes from a distance in to the foreground.
Emerson shining the light out is nice, and really cool borders setting off the use of vibrant blue. Pictures at an Exhibition is great here with the band members in the frames, you haven't missed the excitement of the band live with Emerson's inferno piano and Palmer's gong. It is subtle but effective the way there are a few images behind the initial band member's images, to set off the journey of each member, past to present. A+ as usual (from a College teacher's POV that is, me). |
Hi, steve I always love your reviews and this one is no exception. your wordings are soo good thanks again progfriend.

yes that is the image from Black Moon and in a hot seat. I could add more images but I wanted to keep this collage simple, beside the other images I had weren't that good either. thanks.

Fantastic work!
The detail of it all being framed in the opening BSS opening sleeve is also great.
Just miss the spinning piano somewhere

Terrific collage. Y'know it's been many years since I wanted to buy Love Beach. Two thingas put me off. The cover and the reputation. I suppose if there's a remaster I'd buy that for a dollar. Still think Works would have been better off without CP's jams and Lakes awful ballads. Works 2 I always and still like better... The rest before them are great albums but they lost their momentum and never got it back. The endless compilations and dodgy live albums (disguised re-offerings of WElcome Back My Friends) are not good ideas.
Yet when ELP are playing the on form stuff they are unbeatable. The first album is mindblowingly beautiful. All that piano.... I do lika Tarkus going over Love Beach... email it to ELP and see what they say. They should use it for some art work somewhere.
Anyway another great collage. Thank you.
