==List of Classic Era Prog Albums That Are 35 Minutes in Length==
I was laughing when listening to Moving Pictures, thinking "lame album, only 35 minutes long".
Then I realized it was 5 minutes longer than that. Not much longer but enough to remove the "lame" tag for me.
Then I remembered it was actually 2112 that was 35 minutes long. But then I checked, it was actually close to 39 minutes.
Now I'm confused. I really do remember a classic era prog album with the laughable length of 35 minutes. I just can't remember which one. Care to solve the puzzle for me?

What a load of sh*t. You really think an album is lame due to the fact it's less than 50 minutes or how ever the f**k you grade them? That's really stupid.

I usually find myself disappointed at short albums. I sorted by size and scanned the titles around that length and it's not always the case.

Put it this way, I never say, and don't think I ever have said "this album is too short."

I think I may have done. You wait a year or more for an album and 30 minutes is a bit cheap. i would probably have said the album was a bit short rather bthan too short.
Although Van halen albums usede to around the 30 minmark and never complaIne so,,,,

It's easier to make a long album short than a short album long. Snip snip.

I am going to sort my albums in order of running time - OK first cab off the rank is Transatlantic's "More Never Is Enough" which clocks in at a whopping 190 minutes. Of brilliant prog!

But Vander isn't the best at anything.
Sorry I don't want to do this. Unlike you I don't want to put any band down by sl*g.ing the members. You win. I just can't get into your type of trolling.

Truth be told one of the characteristics that got me into the prog was the song and album lengths. I mean 10 min. songs are just cool, however many can suffer from filler.

Nico's "The Marble Index" was kept down to 30 minutes due to a concern that listeners might kill themselves. Nowadays it comes as an expanded 2 CD set with alternate versions and extra songs. At least someone is taking action against the population problem. |
\ My thought was, if someone can listen to it for 30 minutes and not kill themselves, couldn't they go another 5-10 minutes?

"Neu! 2" where they ran out of money half way through and resorted to playing tracks at half speed, double speed, sticking fingers in tape machines etc.
