I don't think the Ivy League schools give scholarships. My mom was a psychologist, but she doesn't think it's a good choice.

They don't give athletic scholarships, but they will award scholarships based on need and merit.
|
Need is out of the question, though bassoon/academic scholarship is possible.

I've been curious...what can be done with a music degree?
Teaching is the obvious answer. Other obvious choice is playing for an orchestra type deal or starting a band and becoming famous.
Other options?

You can merge music with other things, such as technology. Though there aren't too many career paths there either.

I have no idea what I'm going to do after college. I'm pretty sure I might need a Masters, to do what? I don't know.
I would really love to get into the video game industry but I don't want to go through the math requirements of an engineer.

Not much - again, I would say only pursue something like that if you are unbelievably passionate about it - and with that too you'll need graduate degrees to be taken seriously (there's not a lot of fields that don't "need" you to do some sort of graduate work in today's world).

Hmm...interesting.
I'd probably suck at that. But a modern composer is something I didn't consider.

You could always minor in music - my wife did and I always thought that was cool, even if it didn't really mean anything.

I'm thinking about that. Though I still need to think of a major.

You're not going to college. In a few years you're going to meet the modern day Philadelphia equivalent of Cutler and Frith and form HC II.

Also intriguing.
I wonder what it would take to be like producer or something like that. I'd imagine some sort of sound engineering thing (or something similar).

I'm actually trying to do just that.

Indeed my problem. Don't really have passions per say. I like things, but don't know if they'd count as a passion. I suppose music would be the closest thing I have to a passion. I mean I spend alot of time with music (either buying/listenin/playing/etc). Probably would help if I had more access to musical goods.
But yes...that would definitely require extra work. Probably since if I did go into it (which is a huge if) I'd fall back on teacher or attempt that band thing.
