Their newest is kind of meh.

I thought it was much better than Songs of Mirage or what it was. But really, I remember him asking me to recommend new music (like '00s) and Aranis was one of the few he enthusiastically received. Much of the rest was denied.

I wish there was someone in my family I could talk to about music. My grandfather loved UZ after I introduced him to them, but he spends most of the time listening to pop from the 60's and the 70's. My cousin likes early KC but he's too much of a blueshead to give a sh*t about anything. And my Yes/PF loving uncles spend too much time drinking whisky and listening to Elton John and Bee Gees.

Oh we don't talk about it that music. The biggest father-son connection I felt was once when I listened to Wish You Were Here for the first time and I suddenly mentioned it. "Oh yeah? Cool. Great album." "Yep." ... (Me again:) "I think it's better than Dark Side." "INORITE" On the other hand, every time a new AC/DC or Deep Purple arrives in his mail, he puts it on speakers and suggestively air guitars towards me. Com'on daaaaaaaaaaaaad

I find most ideas of parties do not line up with my idea of fun. I've been to a few and was mostly proven right. |
The parties my friends and I have would probably be enjoyable for you; hang out at a bonfire, play Rock Band games, or play games like Phase 10 and Seven Wonders.
|
Sounds fun
Actually I think my ideal party would be a big outdoor barbecue. By a lake or river and with a bonfire at night.

Matt, this doesn't surprise me because mostly I imagine you exist solely on the internet.

I would like to suggest L'Arbre des Songes.

Meh. I hate that I didn't grow up listening to good music and that I had to find it on my own.
