I prefer it to Frances definitely. And there's times where i'd choose it over Deloused. The amount of parts Adrian has on it is what I love. The two records where Omar wrote with Sax as a big part are my favourites..

Cassandra Gemini and Gates of Delirium are my two favorites tracks ever. So Frances gets a lot of points for that, Cygnus is also brilliant.

I'm not sure which i like more - that's something that i've always tried to figure out.

Vicarious Atonement should be a lot longer, seeing it's one of the best tracks on the album.

CG is their best song, imo, but the filler/whatever that is on Frances just drags the album down. Deloused is impossible to describe, but perfect nonetheless

I mostly agree with this. Frances 'filler' doesn't bother me that much anymore though. I've gotten used to Miranda This Ghost but the last 3 minutes of Cygnus still annoys me sometimes. Especially having heard the live version.

It was. And I agree the new one is great. Peter Hammill is bringin' 'em back.

LOL

I assume that was the new album. If so it's only the 2nd track i've heard from it. I need to catch up and actually listen to it.

Cassandra Gemini is amazing yeah. The Part III is my favourite Cedric vocal performance I think. That or Goliath for the ridiculously high parts at the end.

Everyone shines on Cassadra, but i have to agree his vocals are mystifying.

I also love his performance on Goliath. The section when he just chants "never heard a man talk like this man before" gives me goosebumps every time.

Whenever Miranda comes on, I just skip it because I don't really think listening to 4 minutes of filler at the beginning and 4 minutes of filler at the end is really worth it. The Cygnus one isn't that bad, because it sounds kinda cool, but the other ones I really don't like

I don't mind the filler, except the damn beginning of Frances the Mute. I reach for the Fast Forward button then..

Goliath was the first TMV track I liked. So i'll always love it.

It's much more entertaining if you think about it the way my friend put it which is Cedric bashing the bones of Frances's corpse with a hammer. Then it's hilarious

I bought The Bedlam before I was really into them at all. Then I bought Deloused and the obsession began.

Same. I heard it one morning before walking to school, whenever the video first started airing on MTV. I was humming it for the rest of the day, and then my sister proceeded to send me their first two albums for my birthday.

Not that I think you actually care, though. I'm just being nostalgic.

I got Deloused and hated it for a couple months, and now it's my favorite album of all time. Weird.
