I will probably be contacting the local Berlitz school and see if I can take part in some orientation meeting. There are two in this area, if I remember well, and they offer the kind of opportunities I'd love to have - part-time work. I am just worried about being too old... In Europe ageism is rampant, and no one my age has any chance of finding a decent job, unless they are highly specialised.

Pat, I'm quite sure you'll love them.. These guys were playing world/fusion music in the early Seventies, and in a country like Finland, which at the time was nowhere as advanced as it is now.

I didn't regret it... but it made me realise something.

I love Kim more than I thought I did.

Kim is not my ex.

When I was with Nicky last night, even when we were cuddling and stuff, I still thought of Kim.

So I don't regret staying overnight with Nicky.  Rather, I wish I didn't have these strong feelings for Kim.

I think so.  I don't speak to her as much as I did last year.  She's got a new boyfriend now.  He's a really nice guy but I feel she's leading him on a tad.  He could potentially be good for her but she has to open up to him more, I feel.

I'm not asking her to change her mind about whether she wants to be with me, or not.  It's not about that at all.

I just wish I could help her more.

Hmm.

Anyhow, I actually enjoyed my time with Nicky last night.  I went out in the evening in a foul mood and ended up going back to hers reasonably happy (the night was marred by a set-to between two good friends).

For the housing lottery for dorm rooms next year, rising sophomores can choose one additional person. Mine is my ex (well we are still good friends so it's no problem).
