a string of double-us is more avant-garde

although it's just one letter repeated over and over, if you stare closely and for a long time other shapes seem to emerge, reading between the lines, as it were

it's also an allegory evoking a series of full toastracks

of course I don't expect you to such demanding art

That'd explain it.  My mistake was thinking that the string of double-u's was more post-rockish than avant-garde.

Lappy, BTW, did you see my response to your question regarding abandoned buildings in Detroit in the Big Three thread?

The saddest one for me is Tiger Stadium since that used to be my home away from home.  The new ballpark is nice enough and after years or so I am used to it, but I still miss the old one.  They started demolition of it last month.  I haven't heard recently the status of it though.  It may be all gone by now.

There have been a lot of good things happening in the city as well.  Despite his despicableness, Mayor Kilpatrick has worked hard in improving the downtown area.  Unfortunately, times are hard in this state mostly due to the downturn in the US auto market.

I already knew that though. Wink

I'd use this if more people were here... but, alas, they aren't.
