Steve, glad to hear you got the new Hot Rats. You never owned a copy, but had a CD-R? Was is the remix? I had to make sure I had a copy of each because I was so used to the remix Ryko version (now I have the choice of either one, depending on what I want. The remix has more music, and I'm used to that version of Peaches, but I've come to really enjoy the vinyl mix on the new version).

Sleep Dirt should be your next purchase, as it's the original LP version with no vocals.
Yeah, the CDR I have of Hot Rats is the remix.  I guess you can tell by the fact that the Gumbo Variations is an extended version.  I'll hold on to both versions.    I would have bought Sleep Dirt yesterday too, if the store had had it.  I agree that would be my next purchase.

I'm eager to hear your reaction to Thing-Fish when you hear it.  Follow along in the libretto while listening to it, if you can.  I assume it will come with a libretto.  It one of the albums I originally bought on vinyl but have not gotten on CD.

It might be a couple weeks or so before I get around to listening to Thing-Fish. I'm backlogged on new FZ albums, so I'm not ordering my next shipment until I've gone through the ones I got recently.

You know you're having a strangely listless day when you have to toss a coin to decide whether to listen to Yoko Ono or the Grateful Dead.

Yet more evidence of how listless I feel today, I'm defending Yoko Ono.

Yoko has a few good songs, like Walking on Thin Ice. And honestly she didn't do so bad on Playground Psychotics.

Steve, do you know/remember this song?  It is was this local band's only "hit" as it got some national exposure.  I think it may have been on a soundtrack or something.

I like Clear Spot okay, but the production of it and Decals is such crap compared to TMR. Decals would probably be the best Beeheart album if it wasnt so flat sounding.
