I think I'll order an album today.

I think I'd be happy if A.R. and Machines' debut finally showed up.

Pat, Have you listened to the Shadow Circus album Whispers and Screams?  I highly doubt that you would like it with your changed tastes, but it is available to listen to for free, both here at PA and on the bands' website.  I think that you might like the song The Horsemen Ride.  I think that you would enjoy the percussion on that track.

Oh and Gabe, as I said, most of Mériadec's material doesn't seem too worthy of inclusion, but check out the track "La cagoule" on their myspace.  It's definitely got some Zeuhl spirit behind it.

Edit: Same with "El renega".

First Collabs' #1 that coincided with mine. Approve

Henry, your #1, without Gabe here voting for it, wouldn't have been mentioned at all. lawl

It was too hardcore for them, they needed safe and cozy Magma. ;-)

For only a top 5 from each, fat chance.

Besides, Carboniferous will not stand the test of time!

By the way, did you check Shining's Blackjazz yet? I'd they came with the same "let's just roar and punch notes on a hard rhythm" attitude.

Yeah! Smile
Henry, I'm one of the only to have included it in my top five. I gave it fourth position. Tongue

(the samples of) Blackjazz were loud but not interesting, I don't object to loud guitars but I'm not much of a metal fan. And I'm perplexed by their decision to write flute metal.

I don't see how a generic Magma album, half of which isn't new, can stand the test of time either. :P

It didn't make my top 5, but the Alamaailman Vasarat album is my top avant album for 2009.  Not that that probably says too much since I probably listened to less than 5 albums in that category.  But I do like that band.
