The latest news is that Jean and Friede will be out of hospital on friday. I told them about the posts in the forum, and they thank you all for your sympathy (which they will no doubt do personally as soon as they are home). It will take a while until they'll have fully recovered; there seems to have been some heavy surgery. The wound on Jean's arm where they performed surgery is a foot long (no exaggeration)! And Friede's ankle was cut open from both sides. Jean has a metal plate in her upper arm now, and Friede has two nails in her foot.

Does this mean they will become progmetalheads with all of that metal in them?
But seriously, get well soon!!
How are the kids taking this ?

The kids were really frightened by the accident, which does not surprise me at all; it scared the sh*t out of me too. The good thing is the hospital allows them to stay with their mothers (there are some advantages to being a private patient instead of a panel patient). And they seem to find some fun in acting as kind of nurses for their mothers.

They provide more psychological nursing to their mothers than any kind of hospital personel is my guess>

That sounds like a very scary and painful accident but I am glad to hear that everyone is still alive.
Jean and Friede are part of the furniture of this website and it'll be good to have you back again.
Wish you a swift recovery.

Good heavens! I wish you both a quick, painless and complete recovery and I'm awfully sorry I've not been able to wish it sooner. Take the utmost of care, and fortify your spirits with oodles of luscious prog (especially VDGG ).

Sad to hear of your accident, J & F, but I'm glad it wasn't more serious, and that you're both recovering well.
The joys of driving, hey? We never know in life, from one day to the next, what awaits us, so if you are well today, folks, try to smile, and make someone else smile too -- it could always be worse.
Perhaps, ladies, I will be able to entice Dr Proghole out of his "winter blahs" hibernation, and he will pay you a "virtual visit" soon, with some heartfelt, hopefully helpfully humourous medical/musical advice....
(In the meantime, I prescribe lots of comforting, calcium-laden ICECREAM! )
Stay tuned, & take care!

You know that it's all a conspiracy. Vast hidden forces on this forum are threatened by a perceived challenge to the conservative, male, hirsute heterosexual hegemony. So they engineer an "auto accident" to get BJ & F out of the way...
But seriously, I just found out. If there is anything I can do to help you in any way, just say the word!
