More needed, very quickly.  I think Eloy are great.  The decision is, what album next?Ermm

Incidentally, I second what mobby said above.  I just love listening to Jurgen Rosenthal, one of my favourite drummers.

get Dawn, then Colours and Time to Turn

Thanks for the recommendation Ken Thumbs Up.  I have in fact already placed an order for Power And The Passion Approve.  I will then go for Dawn and Colours.

Floating and P&P (and Destination) are my least favourite by Eloy.  I feel that after the excellent "INside", they basically did the same thing much less distinctively with "Floating", while P&P was the start of trying to do something epic, ultimately dramatically imporved with Dawn.  But P&P is popular here too  Embarrassed

Eloy's not just produced a lot of fine albums, but it is really in taking account the entire body of work that one can be truly impressed.  For most of the 1971-1998 period, they operated with integrity and with a willingness to change without selling out.  Not everything was of top quality, but it was the willingness to evolve that remains so remarkable.

My favourite Eloy albums are:
1. Dawn
2. Ocean
3. Ocean 2 - The Answer
4. Colours
5. Planets
6. Silent Cries & Mighty Echoes

"Inside" and 'Floating" were the first two Eloy albums I bought - unfortunately I still have not got into either of them.
