Their eyeball masks are SO COOL.

I agree. Too bad I couldn't dress up in one for Halloween, but no one would know what it is anyway.

I would totally buy a mask like that if I could.

But I always hated Halloween (mostly dressing up). I quit trick or treating when I was 9.

I was thinking of going trick or treating as an invisible man with broken arms this year, so my brother could go and collect candy for me. LOL

Well, it's from Point of Know Return, but the spooky version I'm referring to is on the 2CD version of Two for the Show.  Ditto Magnum Opus.

Hell no.

I'd give it 2 stars.

Perhaps a reply only rule would be a good idea, if your post count is < x, then no starting polls/threads.

You'd absolutely hate it.

I despise the vocals. And you know how well I take to nearly all vocals. I just can't stand them.

You would like this about as much as you would like Gojira. So no, I would not recommend it to you. Despite the melodicism and calm sections, there's so many harsh vocals and just enough double-bass drumming that you would probably dislike it a lot.

Damn David, from The Decemberists's debut to Between the Buried and Me...that's quite a shift!

It is LOL, but most of the time I don't listen to the same artist for more than 1 album in a row, so I will jump all over the place. And get weird combos like that.

Screw it, I'm just listening to whatever. Will listen to some spooky-ish music off and on though.

I'm like that.  I'm not like Scott who can do marathons every day.  Once I listen to a band, that's it.  I don't care what band, I rarely listen to two of their albums in a row.

That's why double albums are generally difficult for me to handle.

I forsee The Great Misdirect's overall rating to eventually fall in between 3.70 and 4.20. At best it will be a bit higher than Colors on this site mehthinks.

I would also be surprised if BtBaM ever makes an album that I can't like. Although I don't want to speak too soon. <.<

Happy Halloween, Pat! Big smile

@Robert: I know what you mean. I think the only double album out there I can honestly listen to all the way through at once is Spock Beard's Snow. Most double albums have too much filler for my tastes, but that one is a damn good double-LP.
