Live at Leeds among their live releases and Quadrophenia from among their studio albums. Honorable mention however to The Who By Numbers on the strength of the song Imagine A Man alone.

If I'm in a prog mood, Quad is king.
If I'm in a rock mood, Live At Leeds (especially the expanded CD rerelease including all those great songs not on the original LP like "Heaven and Hell", "Tattoo", "Fortune Teller", "Pictures of Lilly" & "A Quick One While He's Away")

Quadrophenia
I only got it a few days ago but I have to agree.
over two years later and I'm still agreeing
Its up against The Who By Numbers and Who's Next for me. The lattter has the two most iconic Who songs (but the rest?!) while former is possibly the first album I ever owned (might have been Band On The Run can't remember) and has many great Pete Townsend songs. However Quad has that prog feel thanks to the synths that are on many tracks and the songs are strong.
