nah, not really.
I still read p4k for the news and exposure to new bands. My problem with them recently is their not giving deserving, more original guitar bands the attention the deserve, even while sometimes giving them good ratings. The stuff that they give best new music these days is usually the same old psych pop or R&B. Not that there isn't some good stuff there.

Plus, the whole Kanye worship thing. I like Kanye, but people who like him often revere him a little too much, to the point of not being open to a better album than My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy being released this decade (in my opinion, that's already happened, but whatever). Just read their entry for it in their Best of 2010-2014 list. 

Oh, I've read their best of the half-decade list, I know.

p4k has never been good at balancing different genres. I personally find out about new indie related bands via Fantano, and he's far better at a lot of that stuff than p4k.

Kanye? He's pretty good at assembling a great pop rap album, including doing so out of uncommon ingredients, and I'd go so far as to include Yeezus somewhere on a best of this decade list - he really pulled out some nice out-of-leftfield stuff there - but p4k do take the praise for the man waaay to far. He's a decent rapper at best, outdone by so many, and Watch The Throne was just a boring circlejerk.I do find p4k's writing to be a lot more intelligent than Fantano's "vibe" descriptions, but often they spend so much time on things that aren't the album. Fantano does have a better balance, too. Consequence of Sound is pretty good with that too, although p4k's news section is sometimes better.
