After winning the U21 EURO tournament heald in Denmark back in June, Spain also won the U19 EURO just finished in Romania. The future looks bright for Spanish football.

Well, tomorrow I'll see my favorite European team FC Barcelona live for the first time playing a friendly against Chivas de Guadalajara from Mexico in Miami. I hope Guardiola puts close to his best players in the field...

Brazilian National Championship 2011 (July 27)

Santos 4 x Flamengo 5
(the most delightful game in a decade).

The goals made by Neymar (Santos) and Ronaldinho Gaucho (Flamengo) are real gems! Actually, Neymar invented something different when making his 1st goal.

The Football League in England is kicking of tonight (Hull - Blackpool) and a full  round tomorrow. That's old 2-4 division in England. What is today the Championship. The highest league, Premier League, is kicking off next week.

I am a Nottingham Forest fan (been that for over 30 years) and generally a bit of a nerd when it comes to English football. I follow the Championship and down to the Conference Leagues with an avid/unhealthy interest.

I worry for my team this year. Good manager but not much quality in the team. I hope for some good recruits within the next days/weeks, but fear midtable obscurity. Although my biggest fear, based on realism, is relegation. The demise of Rushden & Diamonds also means going out of business is not so unrealistic either. The fear factor will be very big this year. There is a lot of players who regular turns out for countries like Germany, England and  Norway still without a club this year. That is scary and tells the story about hard times.

But  Beer   to a good season and a lot of excitement.

Rushden & Diamonds are/were just down the road from me. I'd have probably been walking to the ground this weekend for the season opener Unhappy.
I won't be watching Kettering there.

There should be some good Football League matches this weekend to look forward to.

Both Bundesliga and Ligue 1 are starting this weekend too. Looking forward to a competitive year! Both their champions, Lille and Dortmund, have lost important players, but I still expect good things from them. Bayern are promising a return to form, while in France PSG was taken by some rich sheiks who are planning to make it big again. They bought Pastore from Palermo and have spent a lot in total this summer.

Dortmund v. Hamburg is at 20:30 CET tonight. Here's the full table (but with Eastern European time, one hour later than CET):

Do you know anywhere good to stream that Dortmund-Hamburg match? Should be a worth catching match. I intend to actually follow Bundesliga as much as I can this year. It sounds like it was a great league to watch last year.

Try this, usually it has all the English broadcasts available. Let me know tonight if it works. They will have many more options available once the matches approach the start hour.

You watching Mark? Here's an English broadcast that seems to work fine on my end: http://www.fromsportcom.com/v-2/12/92/v-329397.html

The window will open as a pop-up, don't be scared of that, there's nothing wrong. :)

That opening Dortmund goal was typical of what they do. When they play, they're unstoppable. HeartCool
