Any construction involving the word fragment "bro". "Bro" by itself I can deal with, but whoever invented the word "bromance" needs to be pummelled in the nards. "Brohan"? What the hell does that even mean?
Actually, most portmanteau words that have been invented in the last few years are annoying. Manscaping. Staycation. Refudiate.

My perception might be skewed since I'm not a native English speaker, but I really dislike the term 'human resources'. It's a position for managing worker's strategies -- and it sounds like a penal labour in a camp.

I think that term was invented because people confused Personnel with Personal. It does now mean they need a seperated department for managing the monkeys. |
Speaking of which (oof), when I was doing some voluntary work earlier this year, I was in the Business Transformation department. I have no idea what that means.

I fail to understand how you've come to the conclusion that okay or OK doesn't mean anything..(?). It has a lot of semantic content if you ask me. And surely it is a word.
I'm normally don't get 'annoyed' by any string of phonemes. Language is intriguing and interesting in all it's occurrences.
Although I do understand the irritation here |
It's an American term originally. It's from Oll Korrect (although there are other derivations). I'm sorry but it's complete codswallop. Why can you not just say "all right"? That's why I always try to do.

Anything that is Uber or Tres
Awesome! Rad Crapola Douche (although it amuses me, more than annoys me) "On that note..." (even though I use it myself) Laters (or laterz) Christ Almighty Jesus H. Christ Nom nom nom Zots (I've seen this used on another forum in relation to money) k (yes, Vomps, I'm referring to you) "I'm fine" Jeez Jeebus Loo (yes, I hate the word) Mate (when people refer to you as their mate and you don't know them) Blood (when people come up to you and call you their "blood")

I may start to hate "So it goes" if it becomes popular but as it does not, then I have nothing to worry about. I have seen "So it goes" t-shirts advertised though. Hmm. Alex, I like say mmm, leave me alone.

The book came out half a century ago, why would it get popular now?
