My next review will be : Genesis And Then There Were Three. I haven`t listened to it since the mid 16th century but I`ll TRY to be fair. Actually, no, my next review is going to be for that KROBAK guy Wink.

1%20stars This is a particularly halfass  piece of work, maybe one of the worse review I ever read. ! Too much bile horrible analysis   Asia wasn't a good band, their music wasn't good, I still prefer the bands on which all of the members came from (King Crimson, Yes, EL&P) than this supergroup. I would like to have in my possession all of the Asia albums (vinyl, CD, tapes) in order to burn 'em down in a big autodafé. This is not a review, this is garbage. A nasty piece of amataturish vomit. Bwerk.

His review about "Abacab" is slighty better, even if he doesn`t like the album very much. LOL

1%20stars Brrrrr. Anthony Philips plays primitive electronic synths. I love Anthony's music, but 1984 is bad.

Call this a "say what?" complaint. This guy has been slapping five stars on almost all his reviews, but this doesn't make sense. I put in bold the comments that contradict the five star rating. A flawed masterpiece would seem to call for three or four stars. Would his improvements make this disc worth six stars?

GENESIS — The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway
Review by kabright (K.A. Bright)

5%20stars I suppose this is my third favorite Genesis album after Selling England and Live. It’s long and it’s full of filler, but the parts that are good make up for it. This album could have been my favorite Genesis album, I believe, if it had packed a little more punch and contained less pretense. I would have made it a single disc with the following tracks: Side 1=Fly on a Windshield, Broadway Melody, Cuckoo Cocoon, In The Cage, Lifeless Packaging, Hairless Heart, Counting Out Time; Side 2=Carpet Crawlers, Lilywhite Lilith, The Waiting Room, Anyway, The Lamia, and Boats --- I really don’t like side 4 that much at all. Still worth 5 stars!

Looks like he doesn't participate in the forum, so there's little chance of him defending his position. It's not an abuse as such, so no action will be taken.

My thinking was that the comments being so different from the rating were inconsistent with guidelines 6 and 8. I guess inconsistent isn't the same as abuse.

you obviously didn't see my DT review LOL.... some of us do not rate albums for the site based on whether we like them or not..  Read the definition of a 5 star album.. no where does it say that you have to like it.

If he had written his review with the same arch attitude and well-reasoned intelligence I wouldn't have mentioned it.

That "I don't like it but you will, or, um, should" rating system is part of what keeps me from writing reviews. Not that anyone needs my review on top of 700 others, but why bother if the conclusion is fore-ordained?

because not everyone is going to give a sh*t. what I think of an album... or care what you think about an album ..whether you like it or not.  However.. there WILL be people that do.. those are the people you write for.  The ratings are meaningless pieces of sh*t ...  what counts is the REVIEW itself..  when you have your own 'voice' as a reviewer.. people will take notice.. I for one.. don't care if a reviewer gives it 5 stars or 1 star.. I care about what he says about the album.. I want to know if I am going to like it... could care less if he did or not.  With exception of certain reviewers whose tastes I know.. and can match to my own. Most reviews here.. to be blunt.. are worthless.... to trick is to find the good one... and to write good ones.  My spiel for what it's worth.

Keeping it brief so an not to hijack the thread, I see your point that the review is the main thing, there is just something about the way my mind works that wants things to line up neatly (though an obvious statement like your DT review would be an exception). Thanks for taking the time for a response that makes about as much sense as the system will make. I guess a perfect system isn't possible.

*Plagiarism*

I was searching for Mekong Delta reviews when I came across KNETKOBOLD's review on The Music of Erich Zann. To my surprise it was identical to the review posted in Metal-Archives. A few clicks later I realized that this guy had been stealing random reviews from Metal-Archives and posted them here, so I thought I should make an account and report it.

http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=136723
http://www.metal-archives.com/review.php?id=3005

http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=135167
http://www.metal-archives.com/review.php?id=1425

http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=134794
http://www.metal-archives.com/review.php?id=195

http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=134799
http://www.metal-archives.com/review.php?id=131

(same goes with the rest of his reviews probably)

I checked the links and indeed all plagiarised.

only was a member for two days so I would simply delete his reviews and ratings and post a PM to him, so if he comes online again he knows what happened to his reviews.

POPOL VUH — Hosianna Mantra
Review by Yogabear

5%20stars Hosianna Mantra is Great! Have you heard about the new “Sacred Blessings” CD?  It's a collection of songs inspired by the world’s great faiths, all handpicked by life coach ANTHONY ROBBINS. The CD features chants/mantras/music by Deva Premal, Miten & Craig Pruess.  Its perfect for releasing your mind while meditating and doing yoga.  Listen to some of the tracks like I Love You Lord, So much Magnificance, You can Relax now and my personal favorite the Gayatri Mantra.  You can sample some tracks at  www.kosmicmusic.com/Product.do?code=KUS-10078&category=_future and buy the CD there, or at your local retail store.
