Mariners scored 2 runs in the 1st against the Tigers. Hey guys let's save that offense for the next team that comes to town. Fortunately, the Tigers have gotten those 2 runs back by hitting 3 ground balls that went off of Mariner infielder's gloves.

That game did not end the way that I wanted it to at all. Not only did Bradley hit a 2-run home run, he also had the game winning RBI in the bottom of the 8th.
On one hand, another case of Jim Leyland leaving his starting pitcher in too long, but Verlander is the ACE, and if they had brought in a reliever and the reliever blew it, I would be complaining that Leyland was an idiot for taking Verlander out. It sucks to be the manager, when the players don't get the results that you hoped for. I belong to the school of thought that when a pitcher is pitching well, you leave him in, especially when it is your ACE, so I don't think that I shall be too hard on Leyland for this one.

Tigers lost today as well. Same sort of deal. I was at work so don't know the details (I guess I could look), but somehow the M's come up with a big hit in the bottom of the 8th, Aardsma sends down the Tigers in order in the top o' the 9th. Wow, two wins for the M's. Still 10 games under .500, but at least there's very slim hope, which I couldn't say there was a week ago.

Can you tell me where we're headin'?
Lincoln County Road or Armageddon.

Yea...all we have to do now is go 10-0 and we're at .500....That's ugly!! But the M's are only 7.5 games back of the Rangers who are .553....That's mo ugly!!!!

Why won't the Buccos call up Lincoln,Alvarez and Tabata? How far below .500 do they have to be before they start the call up? I can see 20 consecutive sub .500 seasons before it turns around.

AL East seems to be anarchy again!
Yanks beating Cleveland 9-3 at the moment, though scary moment with the pitcher getting hit.
Always scary, and frankly can't believe it doesn't happen more often. I certainly don't have the bronze to stand there as hard balls are hit directly towards my head.
Edit: After getting a 10-4 lead yanks now losing 12-10. Jeez...

Congrats to my favorite pitcher, Roy Halladay, who pitched a perfect game today! :D

Carlos Silva strikes out 11 cards and goes to 7-0. Bradley goes 0-4 today. What pitcher can be successful for Seattle when they have no bats. I think we will see Silva have a winning season in Chicago and I doubt a Cy young award but looks like he will be going to the all star game.

Sh*t. I didn't know! I ended up being out most of the day. IMO, well along with lots of others , he's been the best pitcher in baseball for years. HUGE congrats to Roy!

That is cool. I was in Toronto on the last weekend of the season a number of years ago to see the Tigers play. There was a young kid on the mound named Roy Halladay, that I had never heard of. He had a no-hitter going into the 9th inning, when the Tigers sent up Bobby Higginson to pinch-hit, and Higginson hit a home run to ruin the no-hitter and shutout. As a Tigers' fan it was truly an ugly game, definitely not worth the road trip, but as a baseball fan that was one hell of a gem. I'm not sure if that was his rookie season or not, but Hallady certainly did turn into one hell of a pitcher.

I was glad to see that. The first game of the series was ugly.

Hats off to Roy H.
If I comment on Silva, it'll just be a bunch of ****s.
On the amusing side, the Angels' Morales hits a walk-off slam against the M's, then breaks his leg in the ensuing celebration. Probably out for the year. Ya gotta love baseball.

Seriously how is that funny? I mean I am not Angels fan but wow what a tragedy. You can't even enjoy the victory. Now if happened to a Yankee or a Giant THAT would be funny.

Angels had another walk-off homer yesterday to beat the M's. This time around, the ensuing celebration at home was considerably more subdued. Really, I wish no harm to come to anyone, 'cept maybe A-Roid.

I got nothing for the M's right now......7-3 lead yesterday, walked in 2 runs and gave up another walk-off HR.
Horrible!!!! But horrible in a horrible division too......so par for the course I guess.

Does Lou Pinella deserve the 2010 version of the Cubs? I can't figure out the Buccos owning this team so far this year. If it wasn't for the Cubbies the Buccos would be further into the crapper.
