Scream Thy Last Scream could have been re-recorded for The Wall or even played live. Pink Floyd played Astronomy Domine on Pulse so it probably would have worked. Julia Dream was a little hokey, but if Waters were to play that song on acoustic backed with a more modern Pink Floyd sound during a live performance....I can see him pulling it off nicely. Although he has commented about music of his past ...like that he would never be caught dead performing Atom Heart Mother in the present day. It is unknown if he would personally feel that way about other Floyd material. However...there are actually many old obscure Pink Floyd songs that fans would love to hear during live transmission.

I've always been a big fan of the second half of The Wall. Some of my picks are Nobody's Home, Vera, and The Trial. Can't explain why, really, but Vera always had a strong impact on me. As soon as the strings enter, every time, without fail, I get a little teary. In a good way, fortunately.

I would say that Atom Heart Mother is rather underrated. Maybe not on the archives, but the album got pretty much universally bad reviews elsewhere
It doesn't help that Roger has spoken rather nastily about it, too. But his reasons why is because he doesn't want to give Ron Geesin any money, not anything else!
I like AHM a lot, regardless of what anyone says, and find it sad that Roland Pettit got trashed senseless for his ballet and Roger will forever bury that version of AHM, from everyone's ears. It was basically a lullaby for 15 minutes, and it was pretty, and I like to joke that it taught Eno how to do Ambient Music!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told! www.pedrosena.com
When we get to page ten of this discussion somebody should compile every song mentioned and list the top 20.
I like Speak To Me, it encapsulates the whole of DSOTM in under two minutes, then ends with that amazing whooosh into Breathe. And when the band reformed at Live8 they were the only band who didn't need announcing, instead they simply started their first gig in 24 years with Speak To Me. But everyone forgets that.

To be honest I can't think of any.
Maybe get rid of a few forums instead. This could qualify for several of them
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

^ Indeed, I wasn't aware of any - perhaps something off 'More' or 'Obscured By Clouds', but I've heard many folks quote more or less most Floyd tracks with respect. Floyd aren't underrated in my mind, nor are they overrated. Perfect band, perfect music (most of the time....)
