It's just my opinion, for what it's worth - which isn't much. Tongue It doesn't mean I'm right and everyone else is wrong, it just means I *think* I'm right, even when I'm wrong. Wink

The following list was derived by generating the top 250 albums with at least 600 ratings, then for each artist, calculate the sum of the QWR of each album divided by the square-root of the number of albums in the list, and sort on this score:

King Crimson (12.95)
Opeth (12.65)
Pink Floyd (12.41)
Rush (12.23)
Porcupine Tree (12.00)
Marillion (11.89)
Yes (11.71)
Gentle Giant (11.71)
Jethro Tull (11.70)
Genesis (11.49)
Camel (11.39)
Van Der Graaf Generator (10.93)
Frank Zappa (10.90)
Dream Theater (10.53)

The choice of the using the square-root of the number of albums provides a good balance between ranking on the basis of the average rating and ranking on the basis of the number of albums.

No, I know how to behave in the restaurant now, I don't tear at the meat with my hands. If I've become a man of the world somehow, that's not necessarily to say I'm a worldly man.
