Two great albums, but I still prefer Animals by miles.  Rocks more and sounds more prog in my opinion.  My favorite Floyd album, nothing less.

oh man!!!! this is really hard, I love Pink Floyd, and both albums are masterpieces!

although, Wish you were here is deep in my heart, that disc is SUPREME for me, so, thas my choice from the poll

You've got to be joking... No Contest!  Animals is far better than Wish You Were Here. It's easily their best works and one of my favorites of all time.

I really don't think of Wish You Were Here or Have a Cigar to be very progressive tracks. Animals stretches to the limit sounds and effects that can be performed instrumentally. Plus the outro in Sheep is killer. Thumbs%20Up

A very tough choice, which is evidenced by the fact that the two are tied.  I love both albums, but Animals slightly edges WYWH because of Dogs (one of my two favorite Floyd songs - the other being Echoes). 
I can understand your anger at me, but what did the horse I rode in on ever do to you?

Wish you Were here by far. Waters is good, but nowhere near as good as when the band works together and creates that warm atmosphere like on Wish or Darkside.

I don't know....... I think WYWH has more trascendental stuff than Animals, but I'm still stcratching my head to be honest...........

Anyway, this couple of albums are in a different scale for me, since Dark Side of the Moon pwns them both Wink
The best you can is good enough...

I think you may be the only one to agree with me!
 
Although I am not the Floyd fan I used to be, I will say that animals is much better! Though that middle section of Dogs is sooooooooooooo boring, everything on the album is quite good. I think pigs is gilmours greatest solo.Big%20smile

Two wonderful albums,so hard to choose one! In my opinion ANIMALS is more prog but WYWH is more Pink Floyd.....ok,i go for WYWH and i want to dedicate my vote to the soul of the good SYD.....THE PIPER AT THE GATES OF PARADISE.....R.I.P.

WYWH for me.....   how many groups have ever really followed up a classic, immortal rock album...with an album that by all rights.. is probably even better.
