Indeed, this is the best place for discovering music.  This website was a godsend for me.

That was quite an entrance you made, though.

I don't. I would have recommended Captain Beefheart.

I have know about the site for a while and have looked up reviews before, I just never signed up. Honestly I still haven't listen to all the cds that Conor gave me, I have so much new music to listen to, its great though.

I haven't listen to too much Magma but what I have I can't say I was a big fan of, not that I would right it off. What would you recommend by Magma?

Money is non-existent for me right now, I just spent all my birthday money on cds and I can't get a job right now because of the school schedule I will have starting on Tuesday. But I will keep that in mind for when I do have some money.

Hopefully Connor sees these and understands he needs to stop playing them. No doubt she'll check his last.fm to be sure of it.

MDK is probably the best starting point.

But Magma is an acquired taste - it totally depends how much prog you've already listened to. Few would jump directly from PT to Magma.

And Krautrock...very acquired taste.

You are quite a fine person, and I am very fond of you. But you are only quite a little fellow, in a wide world, after all.

I actually think MDK is the worst possible starting point. LOL It took me long to like it.

Yes, they are definitely an acquired taste, as is all zeuhl.

Very true.

And as for your zeuhl and krautrock recommendations, I would never turn down an opportunity to listen to new music.

You guys are funny :)

As for Magma, i'm sure it is an acquired taste but so was Opeth (with the exception of Damnation) for me. I had not really gotten into anything without clean vocal before that. I will give it more of a chance though, who knows it may grow on me.
