New 67 minute Edison's Children song Silhouette from their new album released today is by far one of the best things i've ever heard ... ever... and is getting buzzed about all over Facebook right now. 3 dozen threads going on that i've seen and that's just what i've noticed.

Mixed by John Mitchell (Arena / Frost) and Jakko (King Crimson / Steve Hackett)

features Pete Trewavas (Marillion / Transatlantic)
Eric Blackwood
Drums: Henry Rogers (DeeExpus/Touchstone - Prog Readers Poll - World's best drummer) *Beat Portnoy!

Do you call a 20+ piece of music a "song" or a "composition"?
"Market value is irrelevant to intrinsic value."

It seems to come in two different ways if you are getting the download ...

either as a 3 song download with Silhouette as one long song...

and for the wimps who need it broken up for them, it comes in a 16 song piece.

I got the 3 song!.

However if you haven't seen the artwork, it is the best i've ever seen in an album. They've posted some of it on facebook already. I wish I could post it here but not sure how I could do it or if that's copywrite infringement.

Here's the album cover though I got off of Facebook.

Oh and the entire album is 79 minutes long... 125 seconds shorter than all 4 sides of the wall

You should check Progbethyname. I know it is on iTunes now in America and Amazon. They said it was supposed to be live everywhere on Friday the 13th. If not ... check Bandcamp. They definitely have it. www.edisonschildren.com is shipping right now as well that's where i got mine from

I think all of my five favorite 20+ minute compositions are by Mike Oldfield. I don't know if I want children or not, but I'm pretty sure I want his.
