It seems that CNN might have some guidelines on what their hosts can and can't say.

I don't know anything about Sanchez.  Is it an opinion show or a news show?   If he has an opinion show he should be allowed to express  himself without fear of the speech police.  Funny, Stewart's show is pretty much fluff, but I never expected him to be accused of being a bigot.   So what's up with this?

From what I read Sanchez said it during an interview on a radio show so he didn't even say it on CNN.

Rick Sanchez anchors the weekday program RICK'S LIST (3pm to 5pm, ET) and is a contributor for CNN en Español.

whats wrong with people Angry

when you ring the firedepartment you expect them to take out your fire, nomather what circumstances, even if you have forgotten some bill

the place is in Tennessee

I read this in our national newspaper (on Norwegian) so I can translate the most important aspects of it http://www.dagbladet.no/2010/10/06/nyheter/utenriks/usa/brann/13725684/

Firedeparment stood silent and watched someones house burn down to its fundation becouse the owner did not pay some sort of bill/tax   (he forgott to pay a fee) is it not the firefighters JOBB to fight fire in any circumstance, thats what they are paid for, what if people was inside the house, it is in my opinion iresponsible of the firefighters to not put down the fire

things like this make me just shake my head in disbelief...

What the hell is a dirty sanchez anyway?  I thought I knew all the pervy sex acts.  (Just a few from personal experience and no I won't elaborate. Tongue)

Maybe Rick can get a show on Fox News (propaganda) called Jews Do The News.

David Letterman's Top Ten Rick Sanchez Excuses

10. "It's the damn bedbugs"
9. "Didn't think it was possible to get fired from a network no one watches"
8. "Just trying to get some publicity for my Twitter"
7. "Excuses for what?"
6. "Always wanted to go back to doing weather in Zanesville, Ohio"
5. "How come when Jackie Mason says the same thing, it's hilarious?"
4. "Trying to impress Mel Gibson"
3. "Wanted time off to watch Bruce Willis on Letterman"
2. "Accidentally took a handful of Larry King's heart pills"
1. "Hate-filled rant was an audition for Fox News"

Hahaha aginor, that story went international? I don't understand why you didn't take the couple seconds to find an English version of it, but we were talking about it in the libertarian thread. I understand why they did it, but they should have given him a hefty bill instead of (apparently) pissing off even Norway.

I think there's a movement in Kentucky to ban them as well. And as someone who works at a grocery store and gets to see it, I totally agree with it.....sort of. From the standpoint of one step towards getting rid of food stamps, it's good. But I don't like the government telling people what they can and can't consume either.

Hahaha, it's not a step towards getting rid of food stamps completely, that's absurd. I don't see the problem with the government setting restrictions on the use of government money. I would prefer for it to go further, and not just because "f**k poor people for continually making the wrong decisions" (although they do), but enforcement and drawing the line would be much more difficult for the other processed unhealthy snacks, while soda is a clear line.

Soda and chips are the worst for people. I agree that if people want to eat those things they should be able to but should they eat them on our dime?

That subtitle is a bit too optimistic. What I read is that they found out who's responsible, not how they did it.

Here:

Though the identification of a cause is encouraging, scientists still find reason for concern.

"I hope no one goes away with the idea that we've actually solved the problem," Jeff Pettis of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service told MSNBC. "We still have a great deal of research to do to resolve why bees are dying in the U.S. and elsewhere."
