Which drum playing god is the best: Palmer from ELP or Peart from Rush in this battle of the giants.
Exclamation  Note: The poll cannot be changed to include a vote for both without scraping the previous votes, so please post it if that's how you feel.

Neil Peart only because he still plays fantastically. Now, Carl Palmer's drumming is rather pedestrian. Back in the 70's I would have picked Palmer by far; he was a dynamo.
A GREAT YEAR FOR PROG!!!

Both I think paid attention to their craft, did what was needed to hone their playing. Neil was the better student and hence his playing of the past 15-20yrs has been pretty amazing.
His tribute playing covering Buddy Rich is pretty cool and intense....I really enjoy Carl Palmer but Neil's career is head and shoulders above Mr Palmer.....Its funny cause I can actually see Carl playing drums for Rush, could he do all the percussion stuff that Neil did in the 70's with bells, chimes and cymbal playing? Maybe not, but could Carl pound out 2112, I think so.

Carl. He gives more meaning to intensity over the chops.

There should be a both choice on this one since I think they are both excellent.
And as much as I like Palmer's work on the first 4 or 5 ELP albums I think overall with more quality albums behind him I have to say Peart.
One does nothing yet nothing is left undone.
