Topic: Jim Gilmour vs Kevin Moore Posted: November 02 2014 at 07:49 |
Two of my all time favourite keyborplayers, and arrangers, they play marvelous keybords, and create some awesoem melodies and solos, unisons othe between Crichton/Gilmour or Moore/Petrucci are awesome.

Going to have to go with Gilmour. He's one of the reasons Silent Knight is the best album Saga recorded before their first big line-up shift.

I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Moore. Particularly his ChromaKey output. I know the 2 chroma key albums (you go now, dead air for radios) get crappy reviews on the internet, but I think both of them are master pieces. I like OSI (which I call ChromaKey with teeth), but if he would return to the ChromaKey line up/formula, I'd be a happier prog head. Either way, Kevin Moore all the way.

i do not question the quality of the bands you mention, but have you heard Saga and Jim Gilmours work.

Kevin Moore.
