Hi
I PROTEST!
Not fair! Both great and Les Cemetierre always was one of my favorite Ange albums ... and the first one I got, because of the title. Got into Banco about a 6 months later I would say. This would have been right after Space Pirate Radio started, thus around summer of 1974 I would think, when Au Dela Du Delire came out.

Hi,
The specially nice thing about this band was their theatricality, something that many seem to give Peter Gabriel because of the costumes, but belonged elsewhere in Europe. Ange was inspired by Jacques Brel, a very theatrical singer and he is mentioned by Ange and a song is done! Banco, I would think, was closer to the operatic and pop music foundation in italy, which was always very strong. My thoughts still are that PG lost his costumes, and his lawnmower and the others continued! And Ange still is at it, although I am not sure how great it is as I have not heard it for a few years.
I like the opener for Ange ... Pink Floyd had the album cover, but the actor whispers to you ... ecoute ... ecoute ... and that says it all about what became known as "progressive" music. To me, Ange's first 6 albums rival Genesis masterfully, as do Banco's.

Don't look at the titles of songs for groups like this (written in other languages). Just listen to the songs. Call me an ugly American. I tend towards Banco in general though.
