Topic: Reggae in Ozric Tentacles Posted: June 14 2015 at 13:54 |
Hello progheads,
Already twenty Ozric albums! This time, here is a thematic poll about the typical reggae songs by Ozric Tentacles. I also added the few songs that blend these vibes with not too long un-reggae parts. It should be exhaustive. So which one do you like the most?

Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

Mine too. One of my favorite songs from probably my favorite OT album.

I went on an Ozric binge when I first got into them, but 20 albums is really impressive. I only have nine. Only five of your listings, so I can't vote. heheheheheh

Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

I picked Sparkling Oasis because I think the whole album is better than it's given credit for.

It doesn't exclude a particular interest. But as you wish .
By the way, I really like Iscence. Roly's bassline holds the deep meaning of coolness

I know this is especially true for that particular track, but aren't a lot of Ozric Tentacles basslines the epitome of coolness ?
Iscence/Sultana Detrii for me...you left it out for obvious reasons, but Ayurvedic would be a serious contender for my favourite dub/reggae part ! (not sure if this poll is humanly possible, what a challenge !)

In fact, it's quite unfair for Ayurvedic seeing that its reggae part takes about 4 minutes against one for Mooncalf!

I just bought my first Ozric Tentacles album not too long ago, Curious Corn. No way I would know how to vote here, but they are one fine group. I'll be getting more of them.
