Its come home to me some 45 years later that this album should receive a higher cult status.
Its well documented Mike Oldfield took inspiration from this album to compose Tubular Bells.
Does anybody agree that Terry Riley has been in the shadows ?

Terry Riley been at the forefront of unrecognized artists for quite some time.....his name usually pops up when you run a search for overlooked albums/artists.  As for the music, yeah, I dig it, but I don't turn to it very often after having worn out my copy of Rainbow back in the day....sort of the natural progression LP for those who've devoured Schulze and Eno and are interested in the atmospheric/ambient edge of prog.
I like to feel the suspense when you're certain you know I am there.....

I haven't listened to that album in sometime. That was a good one. I agree it's a shame that it didn't do too well, it could have been as much of a hit as Tubular Bells.

He looks at this world and wants it all... so he strikes, like Thunderball!

It's a really good album, though Poppy Nogood kinda grates on me after too long. Title track is perfect though.
