Looks very interesting indeed, but are there any samples available? If not, it will be impossible to judge if this is Symphonic Prog or not. The connection to Yes and The Flower Kings is not enough.

I sent a message to the administrators (on the ERRORS Report thread) regarding the fact that this album is still listed as "Prog Related" and not Symphonic Prog or a related sub-genre. It appears the problem is that the album is listed as a Jon Anderson solo album, which in it self also seems in error, since Roine Stolt was responsible for most of the production and close to half of the writing  and instrumentation of the whole album.

Anderson/Stolt should have their own listing as far as I'm concerned....and while we're at it, the fact that Jon Anderson (solo) is listed as Prog-Related seems also pretty strange. It means that Jon /Solo is considered the same "genre" as Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, David Bowie, and Led Zeppelin !

I think its more than "Prog Related!!!" IMO. Perhaps this album "genre" is Symphonic , but we can check their another albums to find out their genre. I don't guess they (Anderson/Stolt) released "Prog Related" album.

It is clearly a prog album, nothing "related" about it at all.

It has been suggested for symphonic, and I think they should give it a whirl. If they say no, then we should think about giving it a home elsewhere. This is another case where the integrity of the site will suffer if it is not properly included. Let's not have another Squackett

I assume this was added to Anderson's discog to get it on to the site quickly/without going through the proper channels to ensure it was on the website as soon as possible. (that is unfortunate imo, if correct).

A proper change of sub shouldn't be too difficult once the symph team listens.

^ I can confirm it must have been a hasty (and less than careful) inclusion, I had to go thru a large correction of the initial data but - shame on me! - didn't occur me at the time to question the inclusion itself.

Another vote to Symph ! (and buy the album, it's gorgeous)

OK, plenty of agreement on Anderson / Stolt..........but what is to be done with the listing for "Jon Anderson", solo artist ?  Agreed he probably doesn't belong in "Symphonic Prog".......but "Prog Related" doesn't seem to fit him either IMO !

It's not listed as Symphonic Prog, because the team hasn't approved it yet.

I've been busy last week and will be sending a PM to my team today.

Thanks.

Jon Anderson have some collaborations with another artists with different styles like Vangelis or Tangerine Dream or ...  "Jon and Vangelis" have their own page in PA and it can happen for Anderson/Stolt too.
Honestly I didn't listen "Prog Related" things from Jon Anderson and ofcourse I didn't listen his full albums. Perhaps he released some "Related" stuffs that I missed .

Jon Anderson is clearly Prog Related IMO.

- Not Symphonic at all
- Not Eclectic
- Not Neo Prog

No other place apart from Prog Related.
