Dawn is my favorite Eloy album, and Nektar fave is Journey too the centre of the eye. Though it does change now and again.

I consider Colors and Ocean as top albums of Eloy, but Nektar beats them in my opinion with a number of great works such as Remember the Future, Down to Earth, Recycled and Magic Is a Child.

Eloy easily, always found Nektar to be mediocre at best. I like their song King of Twilight, but even then, the Iron Maiden cover blows it out of the water.

Tough choice...
I love Recycled more than any one Eloy album...but I love my 4 Eloy albums more than my 2 Nektar albums...
Hmmm...I'll go quality over quantity and go with Nektar

easily Eloy. Their peak period went from 1973-1982. Although in that stretch of 9 albums, there are 2 I don't like too much (Floating and Power and the Passion), lots of people rate them highly, and the 7 others are almost all great IMO, with "Silent Cries.." just being good, but many people love that one. Ocean 2 (1998) was almost as good as the peak period albums. Nektar are pretty mediocre IMO, except for "Remember the Future" and a few songs from other albums, notably the aforementioned "King of Twilight"

Eloy easy
|
All I like is prog related bands beginning late 60's/early 70's. Their music from 1968 - 83 has the composition and sound which will never be beaten. Perfect blend of jazz, classical, folk and rock.

I'm a big fan of two of Nektar's albums but when it comes to Eloy there's just way more records that fit in that category. So Eloy it is.

Dig me...But don't...Bury me I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.
