Topic: James LaBrie vs Bobby Kimball Posted: August 28 2016 at 02:59 |
Two singers with range, from bands with songs that goes high and low. To me Bobby just have more soul and character in hes voice, and more oumph, though LaBrie is good to.

Kimball easily. Labrie is the weakest link in DT.
And Kimball was in a better band.

Kimball, although LaBrie uses much more of his range on the Astonishing. IMO, his vocals on the Astonishing are his best.

Oh not even close... Bobby Kimball is incredible. (And I like Joseph Williams better than James Labrie too). I'm predisposed though. I'm a Toto fan! If you haven't heard Toto XIV yet, you are missing out.

Not a fan of Kimball but still an easy vote over LaBrie.

It's a constant source of annoyance to me that whilst many bands with limited links to prog are on this site, Toto, who had clear progressive influences, are not.
If you listen to Absolutely Live, the case for inclusion becomes overwhelming.
