Both lead singers with very similar voices. Only who do you prefer?

Tim Smith.

The guy is an utter genius. Now, a year ago I would have answered "I hate both", but recently I have begun to understand The Cardiacs and their manic style. I don't like all of it, but some is brilliant and Tim Smith's voice is the key.

Hamill just annoys me: he's the reason I can't stand VDGG.

Hitler Pammel vs Tim M. sh*t ... Peter Hammill is an acquired taste that I've acquired. So Peter it is.
Two random guys agreed to shake hands. Just Because. They felt like it, you know. It was an agreement of sorts...a random agreement.

While I wouldn't disagree that Tim Smith is a genius it's still not close for me. Hammill's lyrics and vocals are just more meaningful to me. A really good question though.

"with very similar voices" - wot?

Anyway, both belong to my top heroes and it's a very tight competition. I admire Tim Smith more as an overall genius than as a singer, and the voting is about the singing, innit? So Hammill it is.

Same here, I would definitely like a cookie. The problem is that in purely vocals I'd vote for Hammill and while I like the music pretty much equally for both bands, I feel like I would rather vote for Tim Smith for overall achievements(because I feel like VDGG relies more on the combined effort of all the members); it just depends which question you're asking.
