Two bands that rocked darker type of prog in the seventies. Which one do you like more?

I must say I enjoy SBB very much, thank you - BUT:

VDGG opened so long ago new sonic horizons for me,  and yet remain still so present in my life even today Heart

There's some VDGG that I enjoy, but all of the SBB I've heard so far has been great, so they got my vote.

VDGG
Dig me...But don't...Bury me
I'm running still, I shall until, one day, I hope that I'll arrive
Warning: Listening to jazz excessively can cause a laxative effect.

5 years ago I would've opted for Van Damme Generator in a heartbeat...nowadays I seem to grasping out for SBB albums far more often. Karlstad is never more than a spit-throw away from the stereo.

I like SBB a lot, but I love Van der Graaf Generator. Most regularly, for years I have needed my The Least We Can Do is Wave to Each Other fix in particular.

I agree entirely. I'd rather listen to nothing than VDGG.

Both are great bands, but SBB gets my vote. I like VDGG a lot, but SBB has an appeal to myself ears that is quite unique and special.

I haven't listened to much SBB, but I doubt if they could be more irritating than VDGG.

I can't vote in this one. Love them equally.
