With the upcoming release of "The Ferryman's Curse", the first Strawbs album of basically all original material since 2009, let's look back on their three prior major releases in the 21st century.  Pick up to 3 favorite tracks from Deja Fou, the 2004 release.

"Under a cloudless sky" and "cold steel" really rock my boat Ken. I wish that Hawken had stretched out more on this album, but I'm just glad that he was there at all.

I agree on both of those, Steve, but I also thought "here today gone tomorrow" was the type of ballad he should have done on "Deep Cuts" and sold a million copies!  I also liked "If" a lot

it's a fine album, but most songs are basically acoustic Strawbs, with a few additions by Hawken here and there.  The production, however, by Cousins himself, is poor, with the vocals a bit too high in the mix and unforgiving to his shortcomings

^ will get it eventually, still missing 4 or 5 from them...Deadlines, Fou, Burning. Haven't seen Déja fou, new or used, at a reasonable price in the last ten years though.

Ordered the Gettysburg live Hero lately but will wait for the new one to arrive before unwrapping.

My latest Strawbs acquisition was Access all Areas and that was a really nice surprise: Very good sound and strong performance.

Under A Cloudless Sky. I don't listen a lot to this album due to the lackluster production you already mentioned. I wish most of the non acoustic songs were re-recorded. I'd choose If, but I still think Cloudless has the potential for being a great song (including track one) if re-recorded.

For some reason, I really like this album as a whole. Not the best production, as already has been mention, but I find it very likable. Good music for sure.

agreed, I think as a whole album it is the best of the 3.  The other two falter a bit towards the end

we are seeing the same patterns in the other two polls...which songs are peoples' favorites include just about every song on the album, with, not surprisingly on progarchives, the most votes going to the most progressive tracks.  Here, Sunday morning might be just a tad innocuous, while NRG is a refreshing at first but ultimately just a bit too novelty song.  Riviera dei Fiori is really the into to "Under a Cloudless Sky" and I almost just put them together in the poll
