No Words - Just shut up and listen to 20 minutes of pure bliss

(Iceland, Nov 2013)

BTW, don't thank me - thank Jon, he was so thrilled he posted the video himself on his personal page Approve

When Jon Anderson was ill and Yes proceeded without him in 2008 it felt like the end of an era. Or, given the band's riven history another end of another era, yet again.

lol

Then one day this link appears on utube. Astonished by the sound of Jon's voice following his near death experience, the vibrance, I summoned my sons forth one after another to see it. To similar reactions.

Tears for me. Yeah. This old guy. You would have laughed. You can still.

lol

And yet not as grand, not as wonderful, not as powerful nor emotive as the early 2000's when it was Anderson / Howe / White / Squire / Wakeman ending their sets as Yes with this underrated masterpiece.

Seen some concerts in my time. Been to some shows. Never saw or heard anything quite like this. Even the band themselves seemed to be taken by surprise by the power of the piece. The effect it had on their audience and even possibly on they themselves as well.

I have boots. Still searching for that one live performance I want played when my time has come. And gone.

Awaken, people. One of the great moments of musical artistry in the last half century.
