tough choice? No?!
It was the year both reinvented themselves. So which one appeals to you more?

Sabbath for me. I always thought Ozzy got off to a half-assed start.

Sabbath! Dio! Sabbath!
I was never a big fan of solo Ozzy. I think Blizzard of Ozz is his high point. As the 80s progressed and moved into the 90s his stuff got less and less appealing and more and more bland.

Randy Rhoads' performance on BOO is probably the only thing that could make me choose anything over Black Sabbath.
Ozzy on this one.

I have them both on my playlist for the weekend. Haven't heard these two in a long while.
I'll come back next week. |

Sabbath.
I do like Blizzard though. It's probably Ozzy's best album, although I thought Diary of a Madman was pretty good. After that...no thanks. |

Revelation: Mother Earth from BoO is an amazing song. Mr. Crowley is pretty good too. Those are the only really enjoyable moments from either of those albums. I suspect I sit in the minority when I consider "Mob Rules" to be the superior of the Dio era Sabbath albums.

I do too, now, although I did not feel that way at the time. As a teen, I preferred HH.

And I must be in the tiniest minority when I prefer Dehumanizer above them both.

Heaven And Hell by a country mile. Blizzard Of Ozz is still a good album but not quite on the same level, and it hasn't aged well.
