More money to spend!
I've been impressed with the Sgt Pepper and White album reissues so interested to hear this one.

Although it is a great album. Can't we listen to something other than geriatric muzak for the millionth time?

Will it be played in one thousand years if the earth still spins?

As Barbu said......no thanks...already own it.....and to be honest it pisses me off a little that the music companies keep re-releasing these things just to make a buck.

Not at all, you can still purchase the original rerelease. This has been remasterd to the very highest standards and includes never heard before material. To a Beatles fan it's a no brainer.

Just a sampler

No doubt it will, it hasn't done bad for the last 50 years compared to most modern music which has a lifespan of a few days/weeks if that.

Fan is short for 'fanatic'...I like The Beatles but I'm not a fanatic. I do own all the original albums and cd's...but...... again these things get released imho because the record co's need an excuse to 'fleece' fans.
That's just my 2 cents.

How are they fleecing by releasing never heard before material and a new master, when the originals are still available, you have me confused, you either purchase this version or you do not simple really..............or do you not understand that for some strange reason?

Seriously, even if it's the diminutive of the word, no one thinks 'fanatic' (excessive and single-minded zeal) when they read 'fan'.

I'm a music fan, I love music.
I'm an ice-hockey fan, I love the game.
I'm a Pawn Hearts fan, I love how Hammill is squealing and wailing on that record.

I'm a Beatles fan but I surely won't buy another version of Abbey Road.

^ The only time I buy those (super) deluxe editions is when they contain a good quality live concert (crime of the century, who's next or songs from the wood for instance). Alternative takes, some unreleased bonus tracks and a new mix is not an enough good reason for a rebuy afaic.

Oh...well I din't know it was completely 'new material'...that of course makes a difference. So what are the new songs we have never heard before...just curious?

"Abbey Road" is in my opinion the weakest release of the Beatles in their "serious" phase (meaning "Rubber Soul" and anything that followed). I never liked that album much. the two best tracks are the George Harrison contributions (and those I really love)
